I had a position of Chief Accountant/Financial Manager and had an agreement with the employer of upgrade to the top financial position. All my hopes to future carrier growth failed in June, 2002, when my employer, the worldwide telecommunications operator passed through bankruptcy and contraction of the business in many countries. The Russian legal entity was closed and the procedure of its bankruptcy began.

Like any other person loosing a job, I lost confidence in my future and felt myself not required by anybody. I began to send my CV to all employment agencies I knew, but received only a couple of telephone calls without any further offers to visit potential employers. Very soon I received a job offer to take a CFO position with one of telecommunication companies and took this position.
